DELAYED DEVELOPMENT. ENURESIS
A 10-year-old boy was seen.
His mother reported the following:
He had a difficult birth with early rupture of membranes. Developmental delays in the first year of life, and was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. He developed delayed developmental skills. He has a gait disorder, limping, and only lands on the toes of his left foot when walking, with a twitching leg. He has strabismus and poor vision. He has impaired left arm function. He has nocturnal enuresis and partial daytime urinary incontinence. He has a family history of cerebral palsy.
His intelligence is intact, but he has behavioral issues. He can't sit through class, jumps up, and is absent-minded. There are constant conflicts in class, including fights. During fights, he falls to the floor.
Prescription: Solanum xanthocarpus C200, followed by 1M after one month.
After two months, the child became calmer, bedwetting became less frequent, and his gait improved noticeably. Another month later, his father reports that the boy constantly sits in his parents' arms and doesn't want to go to school because the boys there will beat him and it will hurt.
Prescription: Chamomilla C200, then C1M.
After two months, the bedwetting completely resolved. The boy began complaining of a nagging pain in his leg, but his parents noticed a significant improvement in his gait; he now puts weight on his entire foot. His behavior at school has become much more responsible; whereas previously it was impossible to get him to do therapeutic exercises, he now makes sure he doesn't miss a single class. Significant progress has been made in his hand motor development.
Chamomilla 10M is prescribed.
Progress continues. His gait has almost completely returned to normal. Hand motor skills have been restored. The boy eagerly attends school and is a good student.
